Dr. Wasserman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who treats all types of musculoskeletal injuries with a specialty in sports medicine. With expertise and experience in the care of individuals of all ages who sustain injuries during exercise, sports participation and activities of daily living, he provides the highest quality orthopedic care, emphasizing patient education and rehabilitative treatments.

After he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society in medical school, Dr. Wasserman completed his orthopedic residency training at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Wasserman served as the assistant team physician for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and was an assistant team physician for the University of Pittsburgh collegiate athletes, gaining additional experience treating athletes at all levels of competition.

Dr. Wasserman previously worked as an Attending physician in the department of Orthopedic Surgery at Winthrop University Hospital. He developed and directed a Sports Injury Clinic during the fall sports season.

Dr. Wasserman believes in highly individualized treatment, ranging from conservative non-surgical management to complex surgical reconstruction. He utilizes the most advanced techniques including minimally invasive arthroscopy as well as conventional open surgery.

Dr. Wasserman has authored multiple Orthopedic papers and has presented research both locally and nationally. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University School of Medicine and is a faculty member at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
